Eventually, Graff, who has failed his mission and is still a teenager, reunites with an 85-year-old Brok sitting alone on a rocking chair in 3085 A.R. While he waited, Brok pulled all stops to improve life for himself and a few others still residing in the Slums, and he succeeded.
I Will Wait for You: A platonic example with Graff in the "Till the End of Time" ending, where Brok does his best to wait for him after he used Shay's time machine to travel 5 years into the past in an attempt to save his mother and Ott, who got killed by the Squealers. By the time Brok manages to cool off, it was too late to resuscitate him. This will bite him hard in the "Fall" ending, where Brok not only kills the Squealers Chief despite Dee's plea for mercy, he also snaps and beats Graff to death in the midst of a heated argument at their apartment. Hair-Trigger Temper: He struggles with reining in his temper in certain situations a flaw that becomes more and more pronounced if Brok relies too much on brute force when solving puzzles. In the "Out of Loop" ending, it vanishes from the top of his head after a time paradox erases Graff alongside Shay's garage. It was a gift from Graff, received recently enough to prove that a picture of Brok wearing it years ago is suspiciously anachronistic. He even wears it while sleeping or napping, and only takes it off during showers. Fedora of Asskicking: Dons a classy purple fedora as part of his detective getup. Does Not Like Spam: Examining the goat cheese in his apartment's fridge will make Brok mentions his distaste for cheese and similar things "produced by another person's body," and that he only buys it for Graff. He even boasts that he will never stop "as long as (he) keeps living." Determinator: Brok possesses a strong will to forge ahead and get to the bottom of a case, even if the odds are stacked against him. It is later used to power Shay's time machine in certain endings. Chekhov's Gun: The magatama necklace that he wears is noted by The Gloom to be made out of heptamide, an alloy that can act as an extremely powerful source of energy. After accidentally killing Graff and realizing with Shay's letter that he has become no better than the criminals he's fighting against, Brok throws himself off the top of the building where he and Lia often meets 5 years ago, hoping to join her, Graff, and his Grandpa in the afterlife. Driven to Suicide: His ultimate fate in the "Fall" ending. He wears a pair of white sandals when he is 85-year-old in the "Till the End of Time" ending, however, making this a Zig-Zagging Trope. Barefoot Cartoon Animal: He doesn't wear shoes and is an anthropomorphic crocodile/alligator private investigator. There are several moments in the game where he talks about foods in a favorable way, and he has to resist helping himself to some leftover energy biscuits at a crime scene in Chapter 4.
