New COVID-19 positive case per day per 100K population These metrics are an indicator of the current rate of COVID-19 transmission in the county. All positives, regardless of testing method, should clinically be considered a COVID-19 positive case and isolate. Although the counts may not be able to show the exact burden of the disease, they do provide valuable information about the general trends seen in the community. As the pandemic progresses and the availability of antigen and at-home tests increases, it is reasonable to expect that the level of under-reporting of the true burden will increase.

This number will under-report the true burden of the disease in our community as not all persons ill will be tested, reported correctly, or diagnosed using a PCR test (positive antigen tests conducted by a medical professional and an at-home testing kit are not included in these counts).
